- Description: Who I am, and what I'll be writing about here.

Hi, I'm Adam. I work in identity and access management, which mostly means making sure the right people can get into the right things, and that everyone else can't.

I've been meaning to start writing things down for a while. Partly so I stop forgetting how I fixed something the first time, and partly because a lot of what I pick up, at work and at home, might save someone else an afternoon.

Here's roughly what I'll be writing about:

- How access actually works in organisations: joiners, movers and leavers, access reviews, and why least privilege is easier to say than to do
- Passkeys and single sign-on, and why passwords refuse to die
- Things I build at home, and what I learn when I inevitably break them

One thing up front: nothing here is about my employer, and the opinions are my own.

The first proper post is on its way. If you want to know when it lands, there's an RSS feed linked at the bottom of every page.
